single TVs amd single VCRs (both limited in Brands that will work with watch.) CASIO needs to update for DVDs and combination TV/VCR &/or DVD
players. But they probably will not. Too bad -- could be hot seller.

Can go into a restaurant, and if they have the right model, you can
control their TV. At home, you can amaze family and friends with this
007 type device.

Casio Men's GW800-1AV G-Shock Atomic Multi-Band Watch Review

(More customer reviews)This watch does exactly what I want it to, tell me the exact time no matter where I am in the world.It is supposed to pick up the time signal in Europe, England, Japan, and America, but I have only tested the first two so far and it works fine.It features multiple (30 I think) time zones, including some +30 minute zones.There is no GMT zone, but I turned daylight saving time off for LISBON and use that in place of GMT.It has 5 alarms, which is 3 or 4 more than I can use, but nice to know they're there if I need them.Countdown timer only goes up to 59:59, I'd like to have one that counts longer than one hour.

As for the solar power and legendary G-shock toughness, only time will tell.

When I got this watch, it came on within a second of being exposed to light and all I had to do was set the time zone and I was ready to go with the exact and correct time.So far I'm very pleased with it and consider it essential travel gear.

Update: After having worn this for a few months, I'm still very happy with it.One thing I noticed was that outside the range of the atomic clock signal, it lost about 5 seconds a month.

It works fine it just feels sub par and the silver face of the watch creates glare making it very hard to tell the time depending on the lighting. Try it with the white face or blue face if you are going with this style.

(More customer reviews)For start,the design of the watch is great.The visual bulk of the watch disappears as soon as it's on your wrist; it doesn't sit as high on your wrist as some G shocks tend to and the rubber strap is quite comfy.The buttons on the sides of the Mudman are large but a little stiff due to the one piece construction of the buttons and case to greatly reduce mud from entering inside the case.The shortcoming with the G9000MS-1 model specifically however is the display.Forget about trying to read it in low light conditions at all, and even when there is adequate light, you may find yourself tilting it at just the right angle in order to read the digits.The smaller details of the display such as the alarm indicators are all but impossible to read without the backlight.Once the backlight is activeated, the digital display characters go from a dull red to a bright blue, and the white words around the display are lit up in a bright white.Aesthetically, the blacked out face in combination with the black case, band and metal bits make it fit the theme well.The G9000MS-1 is still as practical and durable as any other G Shock, just expect to get more use out of the backlight.
