(More customer reviews)I love Baby-G's. What drew me to this watch was the purple LCD and the fact that it would be my first black band watch. It did not disappoint. I love all the features, the world time is especially handy when traveling. I love the many alarms that can be set, I am not sure about the previous review, but I accidentally put an alarm on at 1:30am and lost my watch. It did a very good job of waking me up, despite sleeping on a loft bed and the watch being buried under some furniture in my room.

(More customer reviews)This is a a very attractive watch which is definitely a plus. Also, the watch is relatively easy to use. However there a few drawbacks. For example, after thirty minutes, the watch no longer records seconds, only minutes. This unfortunately makes this watch futile unless you are a beginner and are not too concerned with precision. I wouldn't recommend this watch for a serious or experienced runner. ( I am a sprinter that has taken up cross country thus i found this watch served its purpose considering I was running cross country to improve in sprinting events). Another major drawback is the lack of directions with the watch. I mean I understand the watch is only twenty bucks but can I get some fricking directions????!!!

Casio Baby-G Ladies Tanning Timer Watch in Pink Resin BG1001-4AV Review

I've had this watch for about 10 months, and after 3 month, the colors changed.

The beautiful pink turned into an ugly yellowish color.

As the pink band and case covers are a transparent pink, dirt gets below the case cover and you see big black spots of dirt which looks disgusting..

The metalic piece that covers the case, which has two rubber pieces, that avoid the glass from scratching, also gets ugly. The metalic part is covered with white painting, which peels off, and the rubber parts, from a nice white turn yellowish too.

The wrist band, although it's resin, looks peeled in several places...

I did not buy this watch from Amazon, but from a Casio dealer in my country (outside USA), and paid the equivalent of $250, which is the regular price of these kind of watches in my country.

What a big mistake!!

I've been waiting for 5 months, for a replacement of the band and cover case (to change it for a non transparent color), but they don't arrive. Casio has no kind of waranty in my country, and there are no return policies.

Now they are selling the same watch with non transparent bands, but I don't have the money to buy a new watch, especially when this one works fine. But looks ugly!!

The watch turns into an ugly yellowish colors just from sweat and sun light. No abuse to it.

I'm giving it 2 stars just because the watch works fine...

I'm extremally sorry I purchased this watch!!!

(More customer reviews)this is an epic watch! the color is different in person than the picture but its still amazing its more of a ligher but brighter yellow. yellow is my absolute favorite color so i couldn't go wrong. it does tend to get scratches easliy on the silver part but overall it will be alright they are not deep they are little but light ones. i get so many compliments on it :) i would recommend this to anyone. and it did come earlier than it was supposed to, it came 2 days before the planned date so i was happy!

Casio Women's BG1302-4 Baby-G Urban Style Jelly Watch Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this one for my wife. She can't seem to buy a watch that lasts over a year for her. I only buy Casio because they about never fail to last forever. I about have to take a hammer to mine to make an excuse to buy a new one. I have 3 casios that I trade off.

Anyway, the problem with Casio is they are a man's thing. They don't make eligent women's watches so my wife wouldn't buy one. I bought this one for her because like other G watches it is probably indestructable and I hoped she would be OK with its size and appearance. Well it looks OK and she seems to like the appearance well enough to wear it. She works hard and has her hands in water alot and likes not having to worry about getting the watch wet. Additionally, the watch has great features including the timer function. None of mine have that and I wish they did.

She hasn't had it long enough to see how long it will last for her, but I imagine it will last until she decides to take a hammer to it!

Here are my only gripes with her watch, which don't bother her at all. The display is a little bit light. Its readable enough, but the contrast is not nearly as good as other Casios I've seen. This is not a big problem, though, and this characteristic might enhance the battery life, which leads me to my final comment...

Casio women's watches only have an expected battery life of 2 or 3 years (or at least the ones that I've seen). Men's Casios are 5 to 10 years, and of course if you buy a solar rechargable one, I guess theoretically the battery could last a life time. Why can't they make women's watches with a battery life of 5 to 10 years.

Oh well, this Baby-G battery is good for 3 years, which is a least 3 times longer than my wife has ever had a watch to even run. Besides, I can just replace to battery if it dies before the watch!

Oh, I forgot, the accuracy on my wife's watch is actually better than the guaranteed accuracy of +-15 seconds per month. It runs about 11 seconds slow per month, which is just a little over 2 minutes per year. That's pretty good.

(More customer reviews)This watch is a real gem at this price point.Has a lovely "world time" feature where you can click through and see times for major cities world wide once you set your own "home time" on the main menu.It even takes into account daylight savings!No more trying to figure out what time it is over in Milan-- click, click, click! easy as pie! As the home time is on a separate menu than the world time this makes a perfect travel watch.
The first reviewer mentioned she had trouble with the size of the displayed numbers-- I didn't have a problem with that, but, for your own reference, I've measured as follows: the actual "time numbers" on the display are 1.5x0.5cm; the whole display area (the pink square interior to the metal border)is 2x2cm.
I'm docking one star in my rating for the tendency of the watch band to pick up grime; this is especially noticeable with newsprint.It does wash off with soap in water, though; so it isn't a deal breaker.Also, I wonder at the design logic of making the second count so large in the middle of the display and, thus, crowding the actual time at the top.

(More customer reviews)I got so many compliments on this watch and it was one of my favorites. The large seconds were great for timing things and such. It was also both cute and waterproof. The rubber did get little dingy overtime, but really not too noticeably. However, the real downside is that it broke after only 9 months of wear! For no reason the latch fell out of the plastic and there's no feasible way to fix it. I really liked this watch, but I am now searching for something cute that will last longer. I guess you can't complain for $20.
